The facts, before anything else
The Banya South Delhi Drives Out For
South Delhi is not short of places to get a massage. Saket, Hauz Khas, Green Park, Malviya Nagar, Lajpat Nagar and Nehru Place between them carry more wellness centres than most Indian cities have in total, and for an ordinary hour-long session there is rarely a reason to leave the district.
The reason people do leave is the Banya. Russian Spa is in Mahipalpur — which is in South West Delhi, a separate district, despite how often the two get run together. From most of South Delhi that means a single outward run rather than a cross-city trek, and it is the one trip that buys you something the district does not otherwise offer.
It is worth being blunt about what that trip is for. If you want a competent Swedish massage, your own neighbourhood almost certainly has one and this page is not trying to talk you out of it. If you want a proper steam-and-venik cycle run by people trained in it, there is no equivalent in Saket or Hauz Khas, and that is the whole case for driving out.
Worth it for the Banya

Weighted towards treatments you cannot readily book inside the district.

Worth it for the hour
South Delhi wellness centres largely keep evening hours. If your free time is late, the fact that we do not close is often the deciding factor rather than the treatment itself.
Not worth a weekday rush
The Ring Road and NH-48 at peak hours can turn a straightforward run into a long one. Guests who come regularly tend to come late evening or at weekends.
South Delhi and South West Delhi are not the same district
South Delhi covers Saket, Hauz Khas, Green Park, Malviya Nagar, Greater Kailash, Nehru Place and the surrounding colonies. South West Delhi — a separate administrative district — covers Vasant Kunj, RK Puram, Dwarka and Mahipalpur, where we are.
The distinction matters because a lot of listings use 'South Delhi' loosely to imply proximity they do not have. We would rather say plainly: we are outside your district, and you would be travelling.
The saving grace is the road layout. The Outer Ring Road runs along the top of South Delhi and feeds into the NH-48 corridor near Dhaula Kuan, so the journey out from most of the district is one continuous route rather than a series of interior roads.

Saket
The southern end of the district, with the mall cluster and district courts.
Hauz Khas
Central to the district and the best-connected by metro.
Green Park
On the Yellow Line, close to the AIIMS junction.
Malviya Nagar
Residential and market-led, on the Yellow Line south of Hauz Khas.
Lajpat Nagar
East of the district core, on the Violet and Pink line interchange.
Nehru Place
The district's commercial and IT hub rather than a residential area.
Coming out of South Delhi
One route serves most of the district, with the entry point depending on where you start.
By road
Outer Ring Road westwards towards Dhaula Kuan, then onto the NH-48 corridor for Mahipalpur. Defence Enclave sits off the service road on the Aerocity side.
By metro, then cab
The Yellow Line runs through Green Park, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar and Saket. Change for the Airport Express at New Delhi, or take a cab from your nearest Yellow Line stop.
Timing
Peak-hour traffic on the Ring Road is the main variable. Late evening and weekends run considerably more freely.
Parking
On-site parking, which is worth noting given how constrained parking is across most of South Delhi.
